The size of this painting is 16x12. I love Kristen Stewart and wanted to try a different media other than acrylic paints. I used charcoal and water color for this project. I chose to do the watercolor background because I felt like the black and white needed more. This was my second project done for the most part in February 2015, and I worked on it for about an hour a weekday for a few weeks. Kristen Wonderland!
This project is the last project I did this semester, and it is 16x12. I call it The Promise because of something personal. I used a lot of dark colors and texture here to generate a sick or scary feeling. I worked on this for about 10 hours, and the branches of the willow tree in the background are my favorite part and also the first part I painted here. I used acrylics.
The size for this one is 18x12, a watercolor with a husky. Huskies are my favorite dog and I like the outdoors a lot so this was a good piece. I call it Cold. This project took me about 5 hours. I used colored pencils to help me out a bit with the trees and the fur on the husky, the dirt on the ground.
This project is called Friendship, and it is 12x12. A reason this took so long to paint, with acrylics, is because I wanted a fountain in the background. The water was rather difficult to get. Perspective was also a bit of an issue, but I really enjoy the colors I used here. They're dark and ugly.
My first submission for this semester, and it's Ramona Flowers. This one took about 15 hours, and while I was painting I had set up a camera to record it so I could time lapse it later. I used acrylics and it was hard to get the black lines right, but easy for the solid colors- not much blending, if any. This project is 16x20 and done in January 2015.
